WE'VE MOVED

So...I'm back...kinda...

I'm working on getting my website for my event company up and running...stay tuned.

Just submitted our wedding photos to Ruffled and Green Wedding Shoes...so fingers crossed.

Trying to get wedding thank you's out...please be patient.

Also, trying to get some sleep with the damn dog that lives above us that barks for 3 hours straight...pray for me!

Lol...so anywho, our wedding was craziness! So much going on! And right in the middle of all this craziness...my cousin Ashley stops me in the middle of the reception and says, "I told my mom not to say anything at your wedding, but she's already been spreading the news...so I just wanted to tell you, Robbie and I are getting married!"

And I was like OMG!!! Because I love Ashley and I love Rob! And my happiness of the day was wrapped up with my happiness for them and I literally squealed and bounced up and down right there in my constricting spanx and wedding dress!

So needless to say, I have a new obsession to throw myself at! Ashley is super creative so I'm not going to step on her toes, but I'm there if she needs my help!

They want an intimate wedding, outside in the springtime spilling over into the evening with s'mores roasting and campin' out! It should be just lovely! The way she's described her musings so far sounds fabulous and very "them"! I'm so darned excited for them, so I couldn't help but make this style board based on what she had mentioned. This is for the day "springtime feel" and I'll be doing one for evening "mood" as well!

We had TWO Food Network/Discovery Channel featured caterers for the day...

Pappy's Smokehouse (featured on Man v. Food)- Dino and I looooooove their BBQ! We searched and searched for a caterer that would have good food for a decent price...let me tell you hard to find...and we really wanted something that wasn't just your typical wedding food...but REALLY GOOD food. So we said F*it, we love Pappy's, we want them!!! And so it was! LOL! The Brisket and Turkey was fab! Yummy!

And again...we wanted a variety of desserts that wasn't just your typical wedding cake (sense a theme here...lol). Well that happened to be The Blue Owl of Kimmswick, MO (featured on Paula Dean). Let me tell you...Michelle's quote from her blog..."well lets just say…I’ve never seen a dessert table depleted like that…" she wasn't kidding...if we wouldn't have run out of plates...I wouldn't have gotten any delish cake the next day! I'm a fatty...hehe...which you will see in the next pics below...harhar...okay I'm being hard on myself...to be fair, I was completely FULL of awesome BBQ and desserts!

 

A HUGE thanks to all involved! It was a wonderful day--one that I will re-live over and over!

Oh and btw...if any of you stopping by are in need of a stylist/designer/coordinater for your wedding/photoshoot/tea party/etc. let me know, I'm totally ready to start that planning business I've been talking about...stay tuned...I'll get that website up sometime soon!

#53 a sneak peek

So for those of you who just happen randomly by my blog...hello!!! And for those of you, who have actually been following along this past year...I'm sorry I've been so absent. What with graduating, moving back home, finding an apartment, starting my big girl job, and finishing up all the wedding plans, my poor little blog inevitably fell by the wayside...which stinks!!! Coz I really love talking to myself with the hope that others too will think I'm slightly insane and will want me to keep talking! lol!

But really it's been an amazing journey, and it's all over with!!! AND IT'S CRAZY! All that planning/stress/OCD/detailed designing, when it all came down to it, made our wedding memorable in my eyes, but not nearly as memorable as laying down at the end of the day and thinking, GOSH! We're MARRIED! I have a HUSBAND. And nothing really felt like it had changed; like turning 16 or 21, do you really feel any different? But just the realization that we had reached the light at the end of the tunnel and it popped us out the other side is sooooooooooo satisfying.

I keep freaking out that we didn't do this or didn't do that...but do mustache photo props, or getting that one shot with my beloved throw-back Coca-cola bottle, or the fact that Dino got dehydrated and so we missed out on going to that really awesome location to take more pictures REALLY matter? (lol, notice they all have to do with photography...sorry Michelle, you're just too talented! I want you to shoot our life story, lol!) I'm positive that the answer is no and that our wedding was fabulous (even if just to us). Because isn't that really all that matters, is that it was the best day of your lives to the two of you!

I'm so overwhelmed with love and joy that I get to spend the rest of my life with Dino; and I'm so glad that we're on the "other side of living"! We did it baby!

#52 thor tresses

So Dino's hair is getting ungooooooodly long...I mean OUT OF CONTROL...and he asked me, "when do you think I should get it cut?" I answered him, "a month out from the wedding so it has time to grow out a little" (I prefer him a little shaggy! lol!)

But now this having him wait till a month out is backfiring on me...because NOW his hair is SO long that he's starting to think he's Tom Brady or Thor or something! Ahhhh!

Not that I really mind this look, but I feel like it's something he's going to look back at years from now and think, "What was I thinking?" much like my father's overly large mustache when he and my mom got married, or even possibly the Deadwood 'stache that his dad was rockin' at his brother's wedding?

So what do you think about this look? Love it? Hate it?

#51 DUNZO!

This achievement means so much to me that I accorded it the special honor of an all-caps title...notice the rest I just don't bother with Caps Lock (oh but I did just then tehe!).

So peeps...I'm all grad-iated and such! As I like to say I'm a Master of Interior Architecture and Product Design! OMG! It feels ammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmazing! But also a little surreal.

5 YEARS! I'VE BEEN DOING THIS SHIT FOR THE LAST 5 YEARS!

And technically it's over...I'll never stop learning but the whole studio thing/slap happy thing is done, finito, finished. And it's kinda actually really sad!

So if any of my studio peeps are reading this, I want to thank you for making the past 5 years a blast!

To keep me plenty busy in the mean time, I will be:

Moving back to the STL
Finding an apartment for Dino and I to make our little home.
Starting at PGAV...soooooooooo excited!

And...

Plan the rest of this awesome wedding that I'm getting so stoked about!

I'm not gonna lie...I'm taking extra care in designing all the details because I REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLY want it to be featured on at least one of my favorite wedding blogs (hint hint SMP or 100lc or Ruffled or OnceWed or Snippet and Ink...pick me, pick me!). I AM a silly bitch!

So anywho, now that my crazy hell-hole of the last month is finally over, it's back to the blogo. Stay tuned!

#50 just feathers

So I know I shared with you all about my earrings, and after putting together my bridal look post...I was having second thoughts about them. Even though...I love love love them...I need something a little more girly I think or more matchy matchy (eckgats! I'm not usually so matchy but in this case...I just wasn't happy with it!). But I've been looking out there-----------> in the web of sites...and I've found a few that I lurve too!

So gorg...too bad they were expensive!

#49 touch o' black

Or a whole dress full...but seriously, I love BLACK...I'm pretty sure half my wardrobe is full of this amazingly sophisticated color, and I just couldn't help but give it its own special post today! Seriously what style! That belt which was a hand-me-down from the bride's grandmother. That black dress!!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh to die for...in white it would be absolutely killer! and...I adore the last bride's black sash (and have a fondness towards her dress because it reminds me of mine...eck!). And look at that adorable brooch bouquet...I ran this idea past my mom but it was too "different" for her..."You have to have flowers, there must be order, I am German frau, listen to me!" jk...love you mom! And last but not least, I have to note that the light pink, black and white color scheme is so sophisticated and romantic! I don't quite know if those thoughts were coherent at all, but oh well, it's Friday!

#47 soft and romantic

These styles epitomize romance...somebody get married in a lavender field and invite me! Please, oh please!
The hair in the first pic might be a little extreme for a wedding but think about a Day After Shoot (it does look like ahem...you know what hair) or even a Boudoir Shoot...it would be oh so pretty. Love the softness of the second pics. And OMG is that last one to die for! You bet if I was getting married outside I would've done a flower wreath in my hair, and look at those gorg red lips! Yum!

Okay people! So yesterday I know I said that I would post today about all these different style ideas that I came across but that just didn't fit our wedding/my dress/or whatever. WELL...as I was gearing up for this post, I decided that I had WAY TOO MUCH STUFF for one post...no surprises there! And so I've decided to split up all this stuff into multiple posts for today.
